Stationary Agricultural Sources (SAS) / Agricultural Operating Permits (AOP)

Following a series of ongoing Agricultural Permitting Advisory Committee (APAC) and public meetings, on March 12, 2005, the District Board adopted Rule 11.1 which established a Stationary Agricultural Source (SAS) permit program.

Agricultural sources with actual emissions over half the major source threshold were required to submit an application to obtain an Agricultural Operating Permit (AOP) permit by September 12, 2005.

To determine actual emissions from your agricultural operation, please use the District’s online emissions screening calculator tool. If you have difficulty using the online emissions screening calculator tool, you may use the manual AOP screening worksheet.

Once you have determined that your agricultural operation is required to obtain an Agricultural Operating Permit (AOP), please complete an AOP application form and submit the form to the District as soon as possible. The form can be filled in on-line but requires a signature so must be printed and mailed in.
