Enviroflash
Enviroflash is a free electronic service that lets you know what the quality of air is within the Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District and for regional Spare the Air days. Sign up to receive:
- Spare the Air Day notifications during ozone season - when regional air quality is forecast to be 127 or higher on the AQI.
- "Don't Light Tonight" Advisories - voluntary program for residents within the district to help reduce particulate matter (PM) from woodburning appliances. Advisories are issued when the forecast for particulate matter (PM 2.5) is 25 micrograms per cubic meter of air or higher.
- Air Quality Forecasts - up to five days to help plan outdoor activities.
- Health Advisories during exceptional events (wildfires).
With Enviroflash you can choose to be notified via email or cell phone and you choose at which level you want to notified. Just sign up by zip code to get the air quality readings for the district. (more...)

Lawn Mower Exchange
To promote the reduction of emissions from gas-powered lawn equipment, the District offers a rechargeable electric mower at a reduced price when a gas-powered mower is turned in. The gas mower will be destroyed and the metal will be recycled.
Details about the 2012 program will be available in February or March.

Calendar Contest
