The Yolo-Solano Air Quality Management District (District) has opened the application period for the 2021 Clean Air Funds program. This annual grant program has $400,000 available in funding for local projects that will reduce emissions from mobile sources of air pollution within the District. Grants are awarded on a competitive basis by the District’s Board of Directors.
The deadline to submit an application is April 30, 2021, at 4:00 p.m. Applications are available at www.ysaqmd.org/Apply2021CAF.
District staff will be hosting a webinar on March 25, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. to discuss the program, application process, and answer questions. If you would like to participate, please register at www.ysaqmd.org/2021CAFWebinar.
The Clean Air Funds program seeks to encourage private businesses, non-profit organizations, and public agencies to pursue cost-effective, impactful projects designed to reduce pollution emissions from mobile sources within the District through grant funding. There are four qualifying project categories: Clean Vehicle Technology, Alternative Transportation, Transit Services and Public Education. Previous projects include bicycle infrastructure and rack installation, EV charging and infrastructure replacement, and public outreach programs.
The District encourages applications for projects that focus on youth education and embody the theme that “Children are the key to a future with clean air.”
